Hello! I’m Vicky — a passionate dog groomer with a lifelong love for animals and a background rooted in both care and discipline. My journey into animal care began when I was young, with my first dog Suzy, a Border Collie x Alsatian. I would spend hours brushing her, not knowing then that those moments would one day shape my career.
Growing up, I was always drawn to animals. I spent weekends helping out at horse yards and, of course, caring for my own pets. That connection inspired me to pursue a life working with animals, and I set my sights on the military — specifically working with horses. I was proud to serve over seven years in the British Army with the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery. During my service, I not only cared for the ceremonial horses and took part in major parades and royal events, but I also helped look after the dogs belonging to senior officers.
Outside of the army, I’ve been involved in rescuing and rehabilitating horses, helping them recover physically and emotionally so they could go on to have better futures. That same patience, understanding, and care is something I now bring to every dog I groom.
With my knowledge of animal care and calm handling skills, I knew this was the perfect next step. I trained and qualified with a Level 3 Diploma from Groom Arts, and began offering mobile grooming services in North London — grooming everything from small companion dogs to large working guard dogs, right at their owners' homes.
Since relocating to Ashtead, I’ve been lucky to work with an incredible variety of dogs, including service dogs, dogs in training, elderly dogs, and those with anxiety or special needs. I tailor every grooming session to the individual dog — no one-size-fits-all approach. Whether it’s a breed-standard trim or a simple tidy-up, my goal is always the same: to make sure your dog feels calm, safe, and loved in my care.
I treat every dog as if they were my own. Because as a dog owner myself, I know how much trust it takes to hand your furry friend over to someone else. Your dog’s comfort and happiness is always my top priority — and there's no better reward than seeing a wagging tail at the end of a groom.
